American Silver Eagles out sold one ounce American Gold Eagles nearly 106 to one in 2014. The ratio is 109.75 to one in the first six months of 2015.

In July 2015, the U.S. Mint sold 5,529,000 one ounce American Silver Eagles up 14% from 4,840,000 American Silver Eagles sold in June 2015 and up 180% from 1,975,000 American Silver Eagles sold in July 2014.

July 2015 American Silver Eagle sales were the sixth largest ever in a single month, just 1,000 fewer that the 5,530,000 American Silver Eagles sold in January 2015, the fifth largest sales month ever.

American Silver Eagle Sales on Pace to Set Record for the Third Year In a Row

The U.S. Mint has sold 27,315,000 American Silver Eagles through July 31, 2015. Through July 31, 2014, the U.S. Mint had sold 26,113,500 American Silver Eagles on the way to setting an annual sales record of 44,006,000.

In July 2015, the U.S. Mint sold 144,500 one ounce American Gold Eagles up 131% from 62,500 sold in June 2015 and up 456% from 26,000 Gold Eagles sold in July 2014.

Gold sales in July 2015 were the highest July total ever and the most since April 2013.

The United State Mint sold a total of 317,500 American Gold Eagles in July 2015 including fractional 1/10, 1/4 and 1/2 ounce and one ounce coins, up 94% from June 2015 (when 163,500 American Gold Eagles were sold) and up 457% from July 2014 (when 57,000 American Gold Eagles were sold).

Total July 2015 Gold Bullion Sales at the U.S. Mint: 202,000 ounces, including 173,000 fractional ounce gold Eagles (totaling 25,500 ounces) and 32,000 24K one ounce Buffalo gold coins*.

While the number of American Silver Eagle coins sold has surged in recent months, the value of those coins is modest as the price of silver has fallen dramatically.

America The Beautiful Update

The U.S. Mint sold 10,000 of the third in the 2015 American the Beautiful (ATB) five ounce silver coin series -the Blue Ridge Parkway coin. This coin is now sold out. Sales of the Blue Ridge Parkway coin were the highest of any ATB coin since 2011 sales of 48,500 of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area coin. The next ATB coin in the series to be released will be the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge coin that will go on sale on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015.

The U.S. Mint has sold 45,000 Blue Ridge Parkway coins as well as 42,000 Kistachie National Forest and 35,000 Homestead National Monument of American coins year to date. The total number American The Beautiful Coins sold so far in 2015 is 122,000 for a total of 610,000 ounces of silver.

In 2014, the U.S. Mint sold 135,300 American the Beautiful silver five ounce coins for a total of 676,500 ounces sold.

In 2013, the U.S. Mint sold 160,000 silver America the Beautiful five ounce coins for a total of 800,000 ounces sold.
