July 2015 Silver Sales at the U.S. Mint
The United States Mint sold 4,840,000 American Silver Eagles (ASE’s) in June up from 2,023,500 sold in May. Sales of ASEs soared in June as the U.S. Mint lifted restrictions on sales to it authorized purchasers.
American Silver Eagle coin sales were the largest ever ASE June sales total in U.S. Mint history.
Sales of American Silver Eagles accelerated their torrid pace in July. After just seven days the U.S. Mint had sold 2,709,000 American Silver Eagle coins which equates to a monthly run rate of nearly 11 million coins.

The U.S. Mint sold 62,500 one ounce American Gold Eagles in June 2015 up from 13,500 in May, a 363% increase. June’s American Gold Eagle sales were the highest since January 2014.
July’s American Gold Eagle sales of 63,000 have surpassed June’s pace in just two weeks. The 63,000 American Gold Eagle coins sold in the first fifteen days of July are the sixth most ever sold in July in the U.S. Mint twenty-seven year history of selling American Gold Eagles.

Sales of one tenth ounce American Gold Eagles as of July 30, 2015 are 135,000 and total sales of American Gold Eagles, including 1/10, 1/4, 1/2 and one ounce coins are 170,000 ounces – a July record. The U.S. Mint has also sold 32,000 one ounce American Gold Buffalo coins.
Sales of American Gold Eagle coins in July are 25% greater than sales of American Gold Eagle coins sold from April-June combined.
