Strong sales of 98,500 one ounce American Gold Eagles in September were up from the 78,500 sold in August.
American Silver Eagle sales year to date at 36,054,500 running 11.5% ahead of 2014’s record pace (32,311,000), evidencing strengthening retail silver demand.
September 2015 Sales of American Gold Eagles were up 95% from September 2014 as the recovery in gold sales that began in June continues.

Sales of American Siver Eagles have strengthened in the second half of the year with June, July and August sales each topping well over four million. Sales of American Silver Eagles were restricted further again in September after being restricted in August and halted in July. With allocations by the U.S. Mint to its authorized purchasers sales were reduced and retail and wholesale premiums soared.
Bullion dealers experienced shortages in virtually all retail silver products during September.

In September 2015, the U.S. Mint sold 3,804,500 one ounce American Silver Eagles down 22.9% from 4,935,000 American Silver Eagles sold in August 2015 and down 8.1% from 4,140,000 American Silver Eagles sold in September 2014.
September 2015 American Silver Eagle sales represented a break in the streak of three months in a row of sales over 4 million, the first time ever in U.S. Mint history.
Sales of American Silver Eagles for the three month period from June-August were 15,304,000 (average of 5,101,333 per month) and greater than any single year sales total from 1987-2007.
American Silver Eagle Sales on Pace to Set Record for the Third Year In a Row
The U.S. Mint has sold 36,054,500 American Silver Eagles through September 30, 2015. Through the end of September 2014, the U.S. Mint had sold 32,331,00 American Silver Eagles on the way to setting an annual sales record of 44,006,000.

The U.S. Mint Sold 98,500 one ounce American Gold Eagles in September 2015
September 2015 American Gold Eagles sales of 98,500 were up 25.5% from 78,500 sold in August 2015 and up 95% from 50,500 American Gold Eagles sold in September 2014.
The United State Mint sold a total of 302,500 American Gold Eagles in September 2015 including fractional 1/10, 1/4 and 1/2 ounce and one ounce coins, up 26% from August 2015 (when 240,500 American Gold Eagles were sold) and up 224% from September 2014 (when 93,500 American Gold Eagles were sold).
Total September 2015 Gold Bullion Sales at the U.S. Mint: 147,500 ounces, including 204,000 fractional ounce gold Eagles (totaling 27,000 ounces) and 22,000 24K one ounce Buffalo gold coins*.
Sales of 1/10 ounce American Gold Eagle coins that began to surge in July were strong again in September at 175,000, the third most ever sold in September. The surge in sales of one tenth ounce American Gold Eagle coins began around the same time (late June 2015) that American Silver Eagle premiums began to rise.

Sales of American Silver Eagles continued to outpace sales of American Gold Eagles in September, but that gap shrunk from prior months. While American Gold and Silver Eagles sales were strong in September, sales of American Silver Eagles have been held back as the U.S. Mint had production of silver eagles on reduced allocation.

Since the institution of American Silver Eagle production halts and allocations by the U.S. Mint in July, the silver to gold sales ratio has fallen to average of 44.38:1 during the three month period July- September 2015.
America The Beautiful Update
Sales of America the Beautiful (ATB) five ounce silver coins resumed in September. The latest ATB coin in the series, the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge coin, was released in late September and sold 45,000. In July, the U.S. Mint sold 10,000 of the third in the 2015 American the Beautiful (ATB) five ounce silver coin series -the Blue Ridge Parkway coin. This coin is now sold out. Sales of the Blue Ridge Parkway coin were the highest of any ATB coin since 2011 sales of 48,500 of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area coin.
The last ATB coin in the 2015 series, the Saratoga National Historical Park coin will be released in early December.
The U.S. Mint has sold 45,000 Bombay Hook National Wild Life Reuge coins, 45,000 Blue Ridge Parkway coins as well as 42,000 Kistachie National Forest and 35,000 Homestead National Monument of American coins year to date.
The total number American The Beautiful Coins sold so far in 2015 is 167,600 for a total of 835,000 ounces of silver.
In 2014, the U.S. Mint sold 135,300 American the Beautiful silver five ounce coins for a total of 676,500 ounces sold.
In 2013, the U.S. Mint sold 160,000 silver America the Beautiful five ounce coins for a total of 800,000 ounces sold.
