American Silver Eagle Sales Set Record a the Third Year In a Row in 2015
The U.S. Mint sold 47,000,00 American Silver Eagles coins in 2015. This topped the record of 44,006,000 silver eagles sold in 2014, which in turn topped the record 42,675,000 sold in 2013.
If American Silver Eagle sales continue at a pace 7.2% higher than last year’s sales, the U.S. Mint will sell over 50,000,000 silver eagles in 2016.

The U.S. Mint Sold 89,000 one ounce American Gold Eagles in January 2015
January 2016 American Gold Eagles sales of 89,000 were up 73% from 51,500 sold in January 2015. NO American Gold eagle coins were sold in December 2015.
The United State Mint sold a total of 293,000 American Gold Eagles in January 2016 including fractional 1/10, 1/4 and 1/2 ounce and one ounce coins, up 33% from January 2015 (when 220,500 American Gold Eagles were sold). Total sales from all American Gold Eagle coins totaled 124,000 ounces of gold up 53% from 81,000 ounces of gold sold in 2015.
If sales of one ounce American Gold Eagle coins continue at a pace 73% higher than last year, sales would top one million, the first time since 2010.

Sales of one ounce American Gold Eagle coins picked up in the second half of 2015 and in January 2016.
Total January 2016 Gold Bullion Sales at the U.S. Mint: 156,500 ounces, including 204,000 fractional ounce gold Eagles (totaling 35,000 ounces) and 32,500 24K one ounce Buffalo gold coins*.

The U.S. Mint sold 32,500 one ounce American Gold Buffalo coins in January, down 5.8% from 34,500 sold in January 2015. Despite the slight decline from January 2015, January 2016 sales were higher than seven of the past eleven years.

America The Beautiful Update
The U.S. Mint has not yet released the first America the Beautiful silver five ounce coin. The U.S. Mint is scheduled to release five America the Beautiful silver coins in 2015, including Shawnee National Forest, Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Fort Sumter National Monument.
In 2015 the U.S. Mint sold 212,500 America the Beautiful silver five ounce coins for a total of 1.060,000 ounces of silver.
In 2014, the U.S. Mint sold 135,300 American the Beautiful silver five ounce coins for a total of 676,500 ounces sold.
In 2013, the U.S. Mint sold 160,000 silver America the Beautiful five ounce coins for a total of 800,000 ounces sold.

In 2015 the U.S. Mint sold 212,000 five ounce America the Beautiful silver coins.
