The Perth Mint sold 1,145,239 ounces of silver in Novemberup 34.4% from 851,836 ounces sold in November 2014. Silver sales in November were down 34.6% from October’s sales of 1,751,898 ounces.
Through November 2015 year to date, the Perth Mint has sold 10,692,467 ounces of silver.
Perth Mint vs. U.S. Mint Silver Sales
Silver sales at the U.S. Mint soared to a monthly record in November. The U.S. Mint sold a November record 4,824,000 one ounce American Silver Eagles (ASEs) up from 3,804,500 ASEs sold in October.
ASE sales set monthly sales records June, July, August and November 2015 despite U.S. Mint production halts and allocations to Authorized Purchasers.
Through December 1, the U.S. has sold a record 44,850,000 American Silver Eagles.

The Perth Mint Silver Kangaroo.
The Perth Mint reacted to the silver shortages at the U.S. and Canadian Mints by introducing a new silver bullion coin that would be not be of limited mintage, but rather would be minted in such quantities to meet demand – the Silver Australian Kangaroo one ounce coin.
The new coin was an immediate hit. In three months (September-November 2015) the Perth Mint has sold 6,427,136 ounces of silver, more than they sold from October 2014-August 2015.

The Perth Mint sold 31,644 ounces of gold in November down 37% year over year from 49,904 ounces sold in November 2014.
Gold sales at the Perth Mint in November were down 53% from October’s sales of 66,951 ounces.

Sales of American Gold Eagles at the U.S. Mint rose sharply in November from October. In November 2015, the U.S. Mint sold 80,500 one ounce American Gold Eagle coins up 210% from 26,000 sold in October 2015.

Silver to Gold Sales Ratios at the U.S. and Perth Mints
The U.S. and Perth Mints had been selling proportionally increasing amounts of silver to gold.
The U.S. Mint sold 4,824,000 one ounce American Silver Eagle coins and 80,500 one ounce American Gold Eagle coins in November 2015 for a silver to gold sales ratio of 59.93 to 1.
The Perth Mint sold 1,145,239 ounces of silver and 31,644 ounces of gold in November 2015 for a silver to gold sales ratio of 36.19 to 1.

The Gold Silver Ratio
In contrast, to the silver to gold sales ratio, the gold silver ratio measures how many ounces of silver it takes to buy one ounce of gold.
The gold silver ratio was well over 70 to 1 during November, 2015.
