This week traces of gold were found in the urine of the Gir cow by researchers at Junagadh Agricultural University in India.

In the western Gujarat State of India, the Gir cow, a milk cattle breed has been long revered for their gentle and giving nature. In Sanskrit, Gōmūtra or cow urine is thought to have many medicinal properties including antibiotic, antimicrobial and antifungal that are useful in Ayurveda, an alternative natural healing practice. According to researchers there are hundreds of compounds in cow urine that can be used to treat and cure various ailements.
A Cure for Poverty?
The amount of gold found in Gir cow urine according to News World India was about ” three mg to 10 mg from one litre urine” in ionic form. Trace amounts to be sure, but researchers claim that the gold can be extracted and solidified.
