Gold sales at the Perth Mint in May 2016 were down 55.8% from April 2016 sales of 47,542 ounces.
Perth Mint vs. U.S. Mint Gold Sales
Sales of American Gold Eagles at the U.S. Mint rose sharply in May 2016 from May 2015. In May 2016, the U.S. Mint sold 64,500 one ounce American Gold Eagle coins up 398% from 13,500 sold in May 2015.

Silver to Gold Sales Ratios at the U.S. and Perth Mints
The U.S. and Perth Mints have been selling proportionally increasing amounts of silver to gold.
The U.S. Mint sold 4,498,500 one ounce American Silver Eagle coins and 64,500 one ounce American Gold Eagle coins in May 2016 for a silver to gold sales ratio of 69.74 to 1.
The Perth Mint sold 974,865 ounces of silver and 21,035 ounces of gold in April 2016 for a silver to gold sales ratio of 46.34 to 1.
The Gold Silver Ratio
In contrast, to the silver to gold sales ratio, the gold silver ratio measures how many ounces of silver it takes to buy one ounce of gold.
The gold silver ratio rose to 75 to 1 during May 2016.
