U.S. Mint April 2016 Gold Sales Report.
The U.S Mint sold 93,000 one ounce American Gold Eagle Coins in April, up 221% from March.
Total ounces of gold attributable to all American Gold Eagle Coins including 1/10, 1/4/ 1/2 and one once coins were 105,500.
Strong April gold sales bring the April silver to gold sales ratio down to 43.78 to 1.
U.S. Mint American Gold Eagle Sales
Sales of American Gold Eagle coins have rebounded strongly in April after a lackluster March.
In April 2016, the U.S. Mint sold 93,000 one ounce American Gold Eagle Coins up from 29,000 sold in March and up from 23,500 sold in April 2015.
The U.S. Mint also sold 6,000 one half ounce, 14,000 quarter ounce and 55,000 one tenth ounce American Gold Eagle coins for a total of 105,500 ounces of American Gold Eagle coins sold in April. In March, the U.S Mint sold a total of 38,000 ounces of American Gold Eagle coins. In April 2015, the U.S. Mint sold 29,500 ounces of American Gold Eagle coins.
Year to date, the U.S. Mint has sold 279,000 one ounce American Gold Eagle coins and a total of 756,000 American Gold Eagle coins of all denominations for a total of 351,000 ounces of gold sold in the form of American Gold Eagles.
