The big economic news of the week was the continued open mouth operations of the Fed calling for interest rate hikes in 2016, reaching its peak on Wednesday with Fed Chair Janet Yellen saying a rate hike in the coming months would be appropriate. The dollar continued to rise and gold and silver fell.
