The big economic news of the week was the European Central Bank’s announcement on Thursday that they would engage in more quantitative easing (bond buying) and lower interest rates further into negative territory. The Euro fell and rose, the dollar rose and fell, gold fell and rose and fell again.

Bloomberg’s Eddie Van Der Walt of Bloomberg wrote a column on the silver’s prospects. In it contained a quote from Jeffrey Christian of the CPM Group

Silver is in surplus, plain and simple.
