American Silver Eagle Sales Spike Out of the Gate in 2017.

U.S. Mint Sells 3,747,500 American Silver Eagles on First Day of 2017.

Sales of American Silver Eagle Coins on the First Day of 2017 were 35% Higher than First Day of 2016.

First Day 2017 sales of American Silver Eagles were higher than total annual sales of 1996 (3,466,000) and 1997 (3,636,000).

The U.S. Mint’s first sales report of the year showed that American Silver Eagle sales spiked 35% on the first day of 2017, compared to the first day of 2016. In 2016, sales of American Silver Eagles fell 20% from record sales of 47,000,000 in 2015.

Sales of American Silver Eagles in January 2016 were 5,945,000. The largest sales ever recorded in January were in 2013 when 7,498,000 American Silver Eagles were sold.
